  @GeekGuyAndy Maybe this could be user-updated? A user could high-light a stretch of road on the map and flag it as unfriendly, or give it a friendliness rating. I.e., crowd-source it.

  There are a lot of narrow roads along my commute - places where I would HAVE to ride in traffic. Drivers would hate it, but there's not enough shoulder to avoid it, in places.

  I'm living in a decaying northeastern city, and I do not exaggerate when I say that the pavement quality here causes me to regularly fear for my life - at least when its dark and raining. It is a far greater threat than the motorists or the hills.
